SPANISH for Improvers / Intermediate

Please Note: Students must be able to converse in Spanish. The tutor will converse mostly through Spanish in this class.

Course Description:

A multi-media course to learn and develop your Spanish. This course is designed to enable the visitor to Spain to communicate more effectively.

Emphasis on dialogue and conversation.

Lesson 3 Día a Día

Day to Day

  • Superlatives
  • Daily routines
  • Asking and telling the time
  • Grammar: Reflexive verbs
  • Vocabulary: Adverbs of frequency , Days of the week, times of the day
Lesson 4 A comer!

“Let’s eat!”
  • Reading menus
  • Ordering food
  • Typical dishes or delicacies
  • Grammar: The impersonal form with se
  • Using the verbs ‘to put, to bring’
  • Vocabulary: Dining out 
Lesson 5 El Barrio ideal

Your dream neighbourhood
  • Describing districts, towns and cities
  • Discussing places
  • Getting to different locations
  • Prepositions and adverbs of place
  • Vocabulary: Services and locations in cities

Course Day & Time: Tuesday evenings 7.30 – 9.30 pm
