Public Speaking (Saturday Intensive with Video Playback) January 7th
This is a one-day Saturday Intensive workshop designed for those who wish to improve their ability to speak for personal or professional reasons. It is suitable for marketing presentations, new chairpersons, wedding speeches, presenting academic papers, and anyone seeking to improve their communication skills.
You will learn specific preparation techniques to counter-act nervous tension, develop more complete vocal connection, and will receive tips for structuring various types of talks, formal and informal.
Participants for this workshop must come prepared to speak for approximately 5 minutes on the topic of their choosing. This can be a formal presentation of a pitch to investors, a thesis paper, event speech OR a more personal sharing on a topic such as “how to bake a great apple pie”, or “my favorite holiday” or a working draft of a wedding speech.
You will be able to view Video Playback of your prepared presentation and receive supportive guidance from the instructor.
Class size limited to 8 students maximum.
