Each class is delivered on the Zoom platform (commences at 7.30pm and finishes at approximately 9.00pm) and is live and interactive.

For many years Dublin Camera Club has hosted the best photography course in the city.  Now, we have adapted our course to deliver the same top-class content online, while continuing to maintain the personal attention that has been a feature of our classes over the years and still offering terrific value for money.

The course is made up of nine on-line classes delivered live by experienced members of the club.  Classes will allow for Q&A sessions and will also comprise small group practical sessions which will be held mainly outdoors.  We will also allocate an experienced photographer & member of the club as your mentor for the duration of the classes.  You will be able to discuss issues with your mentor, send images to him/her for suggestions as to how to improve and you will have the practical sessions with your tutor.

The course is a general introduction to photography and is suitable for both absolute beginners and people with a little basic photographic knowledge.

Introduction to Photography – Course Outline

This leaflet covers classes commencing on January 25th 2023.

• Classes will run each Wednesday night at 7:30pm via Zoom.

• Classes last approximately 90 minutes with breaks to allow for questions.

• Students become Associate Members during the course.

• Students will be allocated a mentor to guide and advise them during the course.

• Course includes appropriate small group get-together with your allocated mentor – probably a weekend.

• Option to become a full club member for €60.

• We will showcase some of the Students’ images in an exhibition at the end of the course.
