A FRESH LOOK AT ENGLISH LITERATURE AND BOOKS

Learn how to get the most from books and to understand how literature works to tell us more about ourselves and our world
This is a broad course that will cover novels, poetry and plays.
The course will look at literature of the 19th,20 and 21st centuries and compare the similarities and differences between them.
Writers such as George Elliot, Jane Austen, Emily Bronte and Maeve Binchy, Samuel Beckett, James Joyce, William Butler Yeats among others will be explored and discussed.
